The Youth Ministries Department of the Ontario Conference of Seventh-day Adventist sees youth ministry taking place when adults find a comfortable method of entering a young person’s world. As long as an adult is able to use that contact with young people to draw them into a maturing relationship with God through Jesus Christ there is youth ministry taking place.
We want this website to be a tool for help youth and their leaders become disciples of Jesus Christ; sharing with others the hope of His soon return.
The locus for youth ministry is the local church. Within this nurturing environment young people find the support they need to grow after the pattern of Christ. We are told by the disciple Matthew that Jesus, “ grew in wisdom (intellectual and emotional maturity) and stature (physical maturity), in favour with God (spiritual maturity) and man (social maturity).” So it is that the Youth Ministries Department of the Ontario Conference seeks to support and assist local church youth leaders in declaring God’s power in these four areas of life to the next generation of disciples.
