Women’s International Weekend at Kanisa
Posted: April 1st, 2026

The Kanisa Women’s Ministry hosted a meaningful Women’s International Weekend on March 7–8, 2026, in recognition of Women’s Day of Prayer and International Women’s Day. The weekend provided a beautiful opportunity for women to pause, pray, reflect, and connect with one another in faith.
Preparation began the week prior with daily reflections and fasting resources shared through the Women’s Ministry WhatsApp group. These helped participants prepare their hearts around the theme, “Loving Relationships”—focusing on our relationship with God, our families, our church, and our community.
On Sabbath, many women participated in a 12-hour prayer and fast, supported by morning and evening online gatherings that included devotionals, prayer, reflection, and guided group prayer. Later that afternoon, a special Prayer Room Experience invited women into a quiet and sacred environment designed for personal reflection, interactive prayer stations, and meaningful time with God.
The weekend concluded with a fellowship dinner on Sunday evening, where women gathered to celebrate International Women’s Day while enjoying meaningful conversation and connection.
With approximately 70 engagements throughout the weekend, the initiative reminded participants of the power of prayer, community, and mutual support in faith.
The Women’s Ministry looks forward to continuing to create spaces where women can grow spiritually and strengthen their connections with one another.
