A Taste of Fellowship: Madoc Adventist Church Hosts Plant-Based Cultural Dinner
Posted: June 9th, 2026

On the evening of Sunday, May 31, 2026, the Madoc Seventh-day Adventist Church in Ontario hosted a special Plant-Based Cultural Dinner, bringing people together through food, fellowship, and cultural appreciation.
Despite being a small congregation, the church welcomed approximately 50 guests from the Madoc community and surrounding towns. Gathering at 5:00 p.m., attendees enjoyed a variety of delicious plant-based dishes from diverse cultural backgrounds. Guests sampled flavourful recipes inspired by cuisines from around the world, discovering how healthy, plant-based eating can be both nutritious and culturally rich.
The event provided more than just a meal—it created opportunities for meaningful conversation, new friendships, and a warm sense of community. Guests expressed appreciation for the welcoming atmosphere and the chance to experience different cultures through food.
In addition to enjoying the meal, guests were invited to browse a selection of complimentary Bibles, books, and inspirational literature. Titles such as The Desire of Ages, The Great Controversy, and Who Are the Seventh-day Adventists? along with magazines and other resources, were warmly received, and many attendees eagerly took them home.
The success of the evening reflects the Madoc Seventh-day Adventist Church's commitment to serving the community and promoting whole-person health. Organisers are grateful to the volunteers, cooks, and attendees who helped make the event a memorable celebration of faith, fellowship, and healthy living.
