"The logo reflects the core values of the Seventh-day Adventist® Church. Its foundation is the Bible, the Word of God, shown open because its message should be read and put into practice. Central to that biblical message is the cross, which is also a central feature of the logo. Above the cross and the open Bible is a burning flame that represents the Holy Spirit, the Messenger of truth" (North American Division Brand Guidelines, 2018, p. 6).
OFFICIAL CHURCH NAME AND IDENTITY STANDARDS
Churches are encouraged to use the official name and logo of the Seventh-day Adventist Church consistently across all forms of communication. Because the Church’s name and logo carry spiritual significance and are legally trademarked, they should not be modified, and local churches should refrain from creating independent logos or alternative brand identities. Leaders and members are also encouraged to use the full name “Seventh-day Adventist Church” or simply “Adventist,” rather than the abbreviation “SDA.”
These standards apply to signage, podium displays, website domain names, social media handles, apparel, and all printed or digital materials. Consistent use of the Church’s official identity strengthens unity, reinforces professionalism, and ensures a clear and recognisable presence throughout the global Seventh-day Adventist Church.
